What's Up Wednesday #2

What's Up Wednesday is a weekly meme, started by Jaime Morrow and Erin Funk, geared to help readers and writers touch base and let them know what's up. If you want join in, you can find the link widget on Jaime's and Erin's blogs!

WHAT I'M READING
Last night I started the book Bloodfire by Helen Harper. It's the first in a series and I'm on chapter three. So far it's fairly interesting - she uses whilst a lot - but I like the main character and the plot has managed to capture my interest so I'm giving it a thumbs up for now. We'll just have to see how much I really like it when I finish it in, hopefully, the next few days.

Along with that, I continue to browse through various writing self-help books, but nothing specific at the moment. :)

WHAT I'M WRITING
Same old, same old! Well, not exactly. I had to re-write the beginning of Consequences in accordance to my storyboard, and now it's coming along much more smoothly. But I still can't wait for Ready. Set. Write! What's that you ask? Well, I would probably forget something in the explanation if I tried, so I'll direct  you to this blog post. I think it's just what I need to get this first draft done before I start college - and then I won't be worrying over it in the middle of my classes! (Hopefully)

WHAT INSPIRES ME RIGHT NOW
Still a lot of music, TV shows, and now my storyboard and quotes from Jodi Picoult novels. I don't think I've mentioned this before, but I absolutely adore her. Nineteen Minutes will forever be one of my favorite-favorite novels.

WHAT ELSE I'VE BEEN UP TO
I've been going to graduation parties for my friends, (lots of food!) and Monday was my official 'first day' at the ice cream place where I work - which meant I got tips plus my normal pay. And as of yesterday I really buckled down and started going through all my stuff for my party later this month. I hadn't realized how much my mom kept until yesterday. I also don't remember drawing that many pictures of her and my dad. D:

Also, looking forward to Ready. Set. Write! And other things like that. :)

So how have your weeks been? :)
